American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Savannah follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very disappointing experience. We were the only customers in the store, yet the sole employee working seemed to be moving in slow motion and was completely disengaged. His demeanor honestly gave us the impression that he might have been under the influence of something, although obviously I can’t know that for certain. There was essentially zero personality and zero customer service—no friendliness, enthusiasm, or sense that anyone particularly cared whether we were there. What made it even more disappointing was seeing the store proudly displaying a “locally owned” Ben & Jerry’s sign while somehow being out of basic staple flavors like chocolate. Being out of specialty flavors is understandable, but basic chocolate at an ice cream shop? With no line and no other customers in the store, this should have been a quick, pleasant stop with the kids. Instead, the whole experience was painfully slow and strangely unwelcoming. Definitely not the experience I expected from Ben & Jerry’s, and not a location I’d return to.

I ordered a birthday cake almost 4 weeks ago and was told everything will be put in for me. She went over everything and got all of my info so I thought it would be a smooth process. Well today I decide to call to see what will be a good time to pick up my cake for TOMORROW and they’re mentioning that they don’t see a cake order that was put in. I’m very disappointed because I was looking forward to this cake. There was no contact after the cake order was made, no invoice put in and obviously no communication with coworkers. I definitely won’t trust my cake orders with this location anymore I am so disappointed in this outcome.

Super friendly staff, extra helpful, very kind and delicious ice cream. The workers are very patient and especially good with kids. Lord of dairy free options along with the other regular flavors. Skip the long lines at Leopolds and support a business of the community.

Walked by at 10:45 PM to grab some ice cream with my son while on vacation. We specifically came here because we checked online beforehand and saw that the store was listed as being open until 11:00 PM, but when we arrived the doors were already locked. An employee was clearly still inside, so it appeared they had closed early. I completely understand that business may be slow near closing time, but if a store is advertised as being open until 11:00 PM, customers should be able to rely on those hours. If the location regularly closes earlier, the posted hours should be updated to reflect that. Disappointing experience, especially because I had promised my four-year-old ice cream during our vacation and he was pretty bummed when we found the store closed.

Man, those people are enthusiastic! I love it. The kid outside is so smart, he said “try some ice cream and come back when you feel like it”. Let me tell you, that right there is customer service. No pressure and just good vibes! So we definitely came back twice for ice cream so far, we love the honey graham latte. To me, it taste like the viral banana bread latte. Will be back for sure because the atmosphere of all those hard workers was lovely to see!
